Adam Jenkins is an educator at the Shizuoka Institute of Science and Technology where he is also the system administrator for the e-learning platform (iLearn@SIST), overseeing courses taught by over 80 professors and delivered university-wide. Adam is also the system administrator for the IVE Project as well as a regular participant.


Andrew Johnson

Andrew Johnson is an associate professor at Future University Hakodate in northern Japan. His interests include virtual exchange and intercultural communication. He has been an administrator of the IVEProject since 2018.

Edo Forsythe

Edo Forsythe heads Hirosaki Gakuin University’s Department of English Language and Literature and is a researcher of educational technology in foreign language education. His research has focused recently on the efficacy of online intercultural collaborations as well as on the benefits of using free writing activities in the classroom.

Elham Alkhalil

I am a language teacher at Grenoble Ecole de Management and a PhD candidate at Grenoble Alpes University. My research focuses on the impact of telecollaboration on the development of teachers' competencies. Through a longitudinal study using pre-, mid-, and post-project questionnaires, I analyze the evolution of intercultural, techno-pedagogical, and self-efficacy skills among in-service teachers.With a background in instructional design, I have worked on various academic projects. I am particularly interested in how digital tools and international virtual exchanges contribute to professional development and pedagogical innovation.

Fabian Krengel

Fabian Krengel holds a Master of Education degree for teaching English and Geography at grammar schools from the University of Göttingen and has taught at schools and universities in Germany, the United States, and Norway. He currently works as a research assistant (for English Language Teaching) and an international coordinator (for Teacher Education) at the University of Regensburg, Germany. His ongoing PhD research focuses on the intersection of Virtual Exchange, Global Education, and ELT.

Hikmah Pravitasari

Hikmah is a full-time English teacher at La Tansa Mashiro University, Indonesia. Her professional concerns are instructional design material evaluation and development, digital literacy, and discourse analysis. She has also participated in several national & international ELT and Linguistics and Literatures conferences.

Kurt Kohn

Kurt Kohn is Emeritus Professor at the University of Tübingen, Germany. He has decades of experience as a researcher and teacher in English and Applied Linguistics. His main areas of interest include English language teaching and learning, intercultural communicative competence development, Global Englishes and English as a lingua franca, pedagogical lingua franca immersion, intercultural virtual exchange, and language teacher education.

A teacher at the University language centre, she has organized and participated in various virtual exchange language learning projects in English, Russian, and French.

Maggie Carolina Rafet-Jaimes, English instructor at SENA, Colombia, specializes in COIL and the IVE Project to foster bilingualism and intercultural competence. She has extensive teaching experience, a Master’s in Linguistics, and is pursuing a Doctorate in Education on the impact of AI in learning.
