The Asia Pacific Virtual Exchange Association is dedicated to bringing the students of this vast region closer together via virtual exchange.

APVEA aims to promote virtual exchanges within the Asia Pacific. APVEA also aims to work with educators to improve the quality of these exchanges and research the most effective ways for them to ensure language and cultural development and understanding occurs.

We are very much looking forward to welcoming all those committed to sharing the great advantages of virtual exchange with their students.
The conference will showcase the latest research, methods, and developments in virtual exchange.
Use the menu on the right or information below to submit an abstract for consideration.

****As a number of researchers and practitioners have noted that the timing for the closing of abstracts was at the same time as the Chinese New Year holiday and also exam period in Japan, the organizing committee has decided to extend the close of abstracts until the 3rd of March. For those that have already submitted your abstract, you will be notified of acceptance or rejection by next week but for those submitting from now until March 3rd, you will be notified by March 17th.

One point to note is that we are now very fortunate to be able to offer training in Intercultural learning and teaching via workshops on the 17th of May, the day before the conference. Some of these will be carried out by trainers from the European Erasumus+ program. More information can be found here.

In addition, there will be a special issue of papers from the conference. We are talking with a number of respected journals in preparation for this.

Finally, registration will be open mid-March and will be 800RMB for the early birds (1000RMB from May 1) which will include a dinner, two lunches and coffee/tea breaks.
